History and scope of the journal

Established in 1976, The Rivista is one of the founding journals of generative linguistics. It accepts contributions relevant to generative linguistics, particularly in the domains of syntax, morphology, phonology, semantics, and pragmatics, as well as language acquisition, psycholinguistics, and computational linguistics. Both theoretical and experimental works are welcome.

Open-access policy

As an open-access journal, The Rivista provides all its content free of charge. The articles are licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license.

In the event of termination of the journal, all published articles will be made available through the open-access repository Lingbuzz.

Publication frequency

Making use of modern technology that allows us to offer content publicly without unnecessary delays, the papers are published throughout the year as a continuous volume.
